Gets to last day of debrief, 05.04.19, 7:30ish AM, looks for passport. Realizes it’s missing.
Also realizes the last time passport was seen was when it was stamped at the Nicaragua/Costa Rica border.
Whoops.
I immediately talk to the squadleaders and logistics peeps. Luckily my team’s ministry location was close to where debrief was held, so we weren’t leaving by 8:00 AM like most of the other teams.
I already knew the passport was found, so I really wasn’t panicking. But my team leader and I took an Uber to the bus station and we were able to pick it up right away.
Lesson to be taken away: always make sure you have your passport everywhere on travel days. Double check when you’re leaving a vehicle that it’s on your person.
Other lessons learned: God really has my back.
