TRAINING CAMP IS LESS THAN ONE MONTH AWAY…HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!

Our first fundraising goal is very quickly approaching. July 20, we need to be at the $5K benchmark. I am so excited to look at my fundraising on Friday and see all the ways God has shown up since the last time I looked, which at that point will be three weeks!!

God is so wild, guys. He’s wild about loving and providing. He’s wild about comforting and talking with us. He’s wild and beautiful.

And I’m so thankful for that. I love that sometimes He provides right away and other times He makes us wait. Thursday was one of those days for me. I was praying specifically for my airporter (duffle-type bag that my big pack will go in when we fly, etc) on Thursday when walking from the parking lot to my desk coming back from lunch. I was just praying that it would be provided soon, sometime before training camp. I sat down and checked my email to see that I had not one, but FOUR emails from my registry site. A very sweet and kind supporter purchased not only my airporter, but a total of 6 items (solid shampoo and conditioner bars for the win!!! I had two of each of these, so while it was 4 items, there were 6 total purchased) had been provided. I cried at my desk. How do you do anything else?

God provides in wild ways.

This weekend I am speaking at my favorite place on earth (see blog post titled “My Summer Home”). I get to talk about my mission and my story and how God used this camp to springboard all of the things I’m headed toward. I’m so excited to share my heart with the kids and the staff.

While this place is where it all began, this is also where I began my relationship with Jesus. Twenty years ago this summer, I was baptized in Mission Lake. And my life has never been the same. It’s wild and I am so thankful to be back.

My heart posture has changed so much since Thursday. My heart is just ready and expectant on what God is going to do this week. So so so excited to be here.

Prayer requests:

  1. Squadmates and myself to reach the deadline on July 20.

  2. REST. This has been a very busy month and I’m needing rest badly.

  3. Open hearts for what God has for us here at camp this week.

  4. FUNDRAISING. I have a lot to get done still, but I know God will continue to provide!
