Hey, there! Thanks for stopping by to check out my big adventure. Here’s some more info on where I’ve come from before the race!

My name is Vickie Pantle. I’m 28 years old, originally from a very tiny town in Kansas (by tiny I mean I had 40 kids in my graduating class–and that’s two towns combined into one school). 🙂

Upon graduating high school, I felt a pull into ministry, but also felt a pull to pursue my education in graphic design. I graduated from Kansas State University in the spring of 2013. Life has been quite the adventure ever since. After graduating KSU, Jesus kept me in Manhattan, where I was shown the ministry of Young Life. Some encouragement from a dear friend, and co-worker at the time, led me into leader training, and I’ve been a volunteer Young Life leader since! I’ve loved spending the past four years sharing Jesus with the group of girls who have become sisters to me. Aside from Young Life, I’m currently working full-time as a graphic designer for a sportswear company here in Manhattan.

My journey to the race has been pretty wild. But Jesus is wild, in all of the best ways. It started with getting coffee with a friend in September, then having coffee with one of his team mates from the race. I was always so intrigued by it, but always had reasons not to go. Through conversations with five friends who have done the race, I began to pray about going. Doors opened left and right, and here we are.

My passions in life are Jesus, people, and art. I love to love on people, to make them know that their stories and lives are important, that they are loved and cared for. I have a slightly ridiculous knack for keeping in touch with people. I sometimes wonder how I have the capacity to keep in touch with as many people as I do. 🙂

Leaving my Young Life ministry behind to do the race is one of my biggest challenges. Please be praying for these precious high school girls as I step away from Manhattan to pursue this new season Jesus has led me to!

I am beyond excited to take this leap into the unknown. I’ve never been out of the country, and just saw the ocean for the first time in May. So excited to see what will unfold the next two years as I fundraise and launch into this new chapter.
