You are someone’s answered prayer.
Did you know that?
In some way, some shape or form, someone somewhere prayed for you. It might have been your parents, praying for a baby. It might have been a total stranger, asking for a word from God, that you heard and gave. It might have been a friend going through a hard season, and they needed someone to sit with them, and pray with them and for them. But you were an answer to prayer, because you’re alive and breathing, reading these words. And at some point, you and I were (or still are) strangers. And every time I write a blog, I pray that God uses my words and gives me readers. So even as you reading this blog, you are an answer to my prayer. That’s how big and intentional the God I serve is. He doesn’t do things in obvious ways. He does things in wild, unexpected, and beautiful ways.
The best way I can close this post up is this: hear and obey.
If you hear a word for someone, don’t hesitate in giving it. It could be the answer someone has been waiting for to find their faith again. It could be the spark that lights a blazing fire.
“But God can give the word through someone else, right?”
Yes and no. If you hear the word, God trusts you to deliver that word. You’re his first choice with the later words and prayers that person needs. He can give the word through someone else, but they don’t have the story and chapters you have. The word won’t be delivered the same.
Be brave. Know that you’re being used to build the Kingdom, and what an honor. What an honor to serve the King we serve. What an honor to deliver words to our heavenly siblings, that they would come back to the family, that we get to celebrate with them and love on them.
Love is a big thing and it fits in small places. Be someone who takes Love wherever they go. Speak Truth, and deliver in love.
